Vienna Looi

Vienna Looi has co-founded start-ups and movements: early 2011 blockchain start-up (angel invested in the space), Economic Space Agency, DurianAsean (ASEAN socio-economic current affairs media station) and KillTheBill (award-winning human rights movement that peacefully transformed the world’s longest ruling regime).


In 2020, Vienna won the United Nation’s Reboot The Earth competition with her project Bowl.eco which aimed to create a new cooling economic model through technology & incubating an Earth 2030 climate-conscious economy. She was also a keynote speaker in the UN Commission for Social Development for the session "Digital Innovation for Youth Engagement in Agenda2030".


Additionally, Vienna co-founded Economic Space Agency (sustainable distributed ledger technology). She has helped start Consciousness Hacking, organized Women In Blockchain San Francisco and contributed to COALA.global. In Malaysia, Vienna co-founded DurianAsean (media station) and KillTheBill (award-winning human rights law organization, part of a 300,000-person electoral reform movement, Bersih). She proposed for blockchain-based election and governance in 2012-2013.

She studied law at University of London and International Development in Washington DC on a Leadership Scholarship; and has presented at Singularity University and MIT. At Good Cause Group, Vienna specializes in using blockchain technology for governance and to increase organizational transparency.
